There’s so much to do in San Diego that the most difficult thing about planning a vacation there is choosing what to do. While you are planning, here are some tips for finding coupons and additional discounts on area attractions and more.

San Diego Visitors – The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau is a really great resource for mapping out your activities in San Diego. Check out the events calendar too. You may want to plan your visit around one of these events. They also offer a lot of really nice coupons for area attractions, accommodations, dining, and more. Be sure to check out the coupons for San Diego vacation packages. These are offered by the hotels and offer discounted rates for your stay plus tickets to local attractions.
 
Coupon Books – Pick up a copy of the San Diego Entertainment Book. The book has almost $25,000 worth of coupon discounts inside. You pay an up front fee and most coupons are valid for a year. This is actually really great for tourists and locals. Discounts are available for attractions, dining, shopping, travel, entertainment, and more. Keep it with you at all times.
 
AAA Discounts – There are a lot of really great discounts available for AAA members. If you are a AAA member it is highly recommended that you check out their offers first. Some discounts are available at the gate or at check in while others are only available if you purchase ahead of time through your AAA office. You can also check with the AAA offices in San Diego as they have some coupons that are specific to some local businesses.
 
eBay Discounts – For some of the bigger attractions like the San Diego Zoo or SeaWorld, look on eBay. There are a lot of sellers who sell their unused tickets or coupons to San Diego attractions. You can just about guarantee a lower price here and with a bit of luck you might get a really great deal. Just be careful that you are purchasing from a respected seller.
 
Costco Discounts – Are you a member of Costco? Stop by the Costco in San Diego. They sell a lot of discounted tickets for some of the major attractions including SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo. Of course you will have to buy multiple tickets in order to get the savings. You can check ahead of time to see what tickets are currently available at the Costco.
 
Vacation Packages – Some of the best places to find deals on San Diego vacation packages is through the local hotels. The reason is because many of them offer free tickets or coupons for discounted admission with your stay. Typically requiring a 2 night minimum stay. This is a great way to layout the foundation of your San Diego vacation. You can also take the opposite approach by checking with the attractions and theme parks for discounted room rates with the purchase of your ticket.
