This is a great way to set and save money on your base itinerary.
 
Coupon Books – Get your hands on a copy of the Philadelphia Entertainment Book. You pay a small price up front for it, but inside are coupons to hundreds of Philadelphia area attractions, dining, entertainment, shopping, and lodging. There’s actually two books, Philadelphia North and Philadelphia West. Total discounts in these books are almost $30,000. If you have a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Pass Perks card you can pick up a free VIP Coupon Book. It’s got discounts to over 150 things to do in Philadelphia.

Discount Cards – There are actually several discount cards available for Philadelphia. The two main ones are the Philadelphia Pass and the Philadelphia CityPass. For both of these you pay one set price and you get free admission to the top attractions in Philadelphia. You can end up saving as much as 50% on your total tickets using these discount cards. It’s great if you are visiting and want to tour the city. Some top attractions include The Franklin Institute, Adventure Aquarium, The Big Bus Company, Philadelphia Zoo, National Constitution Center, Please Touch Museum, and more.
 
Vacation Packages – As mentioned before, the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau is a great place to start when building your vacation. They have a lot of competitive rates for packages that include hotel plus tickets to area attractions. Another great resource to start with is Amtrak. The city is well connected by rail and Amtrak has a lot of great deals as well for rail passes, accommodations, and tickets to attractions.
