Orlando, Florida is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Just to name a few of the attractions, there’s Walt Disney World, Universal Studios SeaWorld, Gatorland, and Wet ‘n Wild Water Park. Of course there’s a tone more attractions. You really can visit Orlando in just one trip, or even a couple trips. There’s just too much to do. To help save money on your trips though, here are some tips for finding coupons and discount tickets for your Orlando vacation.
Where to Start – You should definitely start with the Orlando Convention & Visitors Bureau. They offer a lot of great tools to help you plan you Orlando vacation and set your itinerary. The best advice is to plan everything out that you want to see and then price each attraction or activity with available coupons. Be sure to factor in shuttle and transportation costs as well.
Coupon Books – Check out the Orlando Entertainment Book. You have to pay for the book but it’s well worth it. Right now it costs about $35, but inside are over $16,000 worth of coupons and discounts to Orlando area attractions, dining, shopping, lodging, and entertainment. Better yet, you might be able to find a coupon to use towards your purchase of the Orlando Entertainment Book. That’s a discount on top of a discount!
Discount Cards – Through the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau you can get the Orlando Magicard. It’s free when you order your Orlando Vacation Planning Kit (also free). It gives you $1,000s worth of discounts to Orlando attractions, restaurants, shopping, and more. Another discount card to check out is the Go Orlando Card. You pay for however many days you want to use the card. With it you get free admission to over 49 Orlando attractions. You end up saving well over 50% on total ticket costs to all the attractions. Look around too. You should be able to find coupons for the Go Orlando Card for even more savings.
AAA Discounts – AAA offers a lot of discounts for Orlando attractions and accommodations. If you are a AAA member, be sure to take full advantage of the available discounts. Do your homework ahead of time though because while some of these discounts are available at the gate or check-in, other discounts require advanced purchase through the AAA South ticket office. Your local AAA office may offer some different discounts as well.
eBay Discounts – Another great resource for finding discount tickets and coupons for Orlando attractions is eBay. A lot of sellers will sell their unused tickets as well as coupons on eBay. If you are lucky you can really snag a great deal. Just be really careful that you are purchasing your discounted tickets or coupons from a reputable seller.
Vacation Packages – Most of the Orlando resorts offer some sort of a vacation package offer, whether it include tickets to attractions or transportation, dining, services, etc. Don’t just book a room, check to see if you’ll get a better deal as a package. Another great resource for great deals on Orlando vacation packages is Southwest Airlines. If Southwest flies to your local airport, check to see what offers are available. They often release promo codes just for Orlando vacation packages.
