Sesame Place is located just across the border from Trenton, New Jersey in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The theme park is hosted by the whole cast of Sesame Street characters including Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Ernie, Bert, and more! Sesame Place first opened in 1980 as a small 3 acre park where kids could play and interact on the computer with the Sesame Street gang. Over the years it grew into a full theme park with rides, shows, water attractions, and more. Expansion continues today with the construction of Sesame Island and Twiddlebug Land.   1. If you have an Entertainment Book in your area, check online first to see if they offer any coupons for Sesame Place. If they do go ahead and buy the book. Most offer over $10,000 worth of coupons and discounts for area attractions, entertainment, shopping, dining, and accommodations on top of any discounts offered for Sesame Place.

  6. Get a season pass to Sesame Place. A season pass will pay for itself in just 3 visits. You can save even more by waiting to purchase the season pass after the month of July. Sesame Place usually starts pre-selling next year’s season passes, which include admission to Sesame Place for the remainder of the current year.

Philadelphia and Trenton Vacation Packages

Check with some of the hotels in both Philadelphia and Trenton. Many of them offer free tickets or Sesame Place coupons for discount admission with your stay. The Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Hyatt all offer Sesame Place vacation packages. Also check with the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Bureau. They offer their own packages that include discounted hotel rates and tickets to Sesame Place.

Additional Information

The theme park is open mostly during the spring and summer but does open for special events like Halloween and Christmas. Park hours vary depending on the time of year. Just check ahead to time to be sure. Children under 2 years old get into the park for free. Parking is also an additional fee per vehicle. Group discounts are available for groups of 15 or more people. You must purchase your tickets at least 14 days in advance to get the group discount rate. For discounts on online ticket purchases, you’ll need to enter a valid promo code into the box on the purchase page.
