The CityPass was first launched in 1997. The idea was to offer tourists access to the top 5 or 6 attractions in select cities for a deeply discounted rate. Each booklet includes one admission to each of the top attractions. Tourists can purchase these booklets which offer savings of up do 50% versus what you would have to pay at the gate. Passes are good for 9 days from the day of activation. (activated at the ticket window of attraction) Since its launch, CityPass has grown to include passes for 11 tourist destinations. These include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California, and Toronto. The CityPass is good for 9 days from the date of activation. The pass is activated at the gate of the first attraction you visit using the CityPass. Each pass is good for one admission per attraction. Once the CityPass expires you can no longer use any remaining passes to attractions. You can explore at your own pace, seeing any of the attractions in any order as long as you visit within 9 days from the date of activation.
